Party Time!

Quelle soirée on a eu.  Plutôt tranquille au début, on a eu droit à tout un débarquement plus tard dans la soirée après le spectacle de Dance Laury Dance au Capitole.  Le party a pogné solide dans la place, voici la playlist :

Critique de la semaine : Blood Magick Necromance de Belphegor

En cette période fertile en sortie d'album, Belphegor nous présente son dernier opus, Blood Magick Necromance, le 9e du groupe.  On constate d'entrée de jeu que le groupe n'a pas fait les choses à moitié.  Le qualité sonore est impéccable, tout comme la production du légendaire Peter Tägtgren.  Le groupe sonne comme jamais.  Les compositions semblent plus paufinées qu'avant.  C'est plus lourd, les mélodies plus travaillée et l'ambiance qui règne en écoutant cet album est à donner des frissons dans le dos.  On sent que le groupe a voulu changer du moule "tout le temps dans l'fond" comme ils nous ont habitué. Les 2 premières pièces illustre très bien cette tendances, soit in Blood - Devours This Sanctity et Rise To Fall And Fall To Rise.  Cette dernière a d'ailleurs tout pour devenir un classique du groupe.  Un excellent effort de la part du groupe autrichien, qui n'a pu se produire en concert avec Deicide à notre plus grand regret. Un solide 8/10.

Critique de la semaine : Fallen de Burzum

Décidément, le séjour derrière les barreaux aura été bénéfique pour l'inspiration de Varg Vikernes.  En effet, après l'excellent Belus l'an dernier, c'est au tour de Fallen de nous séduire.  Un ouvrage très inspiré qui nous transporte dans un univers étrange qui nous fais sentir tantôt ténébreux, tantôt serein.  Plus près du viking/folk metal que du black metal, on a l'impression de se retrouver au milieu d'une forêt nordique à la tombée de la nuit.  Les pièces de l'album sont longues et langoureuses, es mélodies sont envoutantes et ténébreuses.  Les arrangements vocaux sont particulièrement intéressants, alternant de voix black à voix clean, avec des poèmes qui sont récité au travers.  Le tout accompagné d'une guitare stridente dans la plus pure tradition de Burzum.  Les pièces Jag Faller et surtout Valen sont particulièrement épiques, alors que Enhver Til Sitt nous rappelle le Burzum des débuts.  On peut affirmer sans contredit que Burzum a repris sa place parmis les maitres du black/viking metal.  Impressionnant.  Un 9/10!
