Critique de la semaine : Ukon Wacka de Korpiklaani

Les joyeux lurons de Korpiklaani nous reviennes avec un album pour la 7e année de suite.  Il faut avoir l'esprit vif pour produire à un tel rythme, ce qui n'a pas toujours donné de bon résultats pour le groupe.  Après un petit passage à vide qui aura duré deux albums, on doit dire qu'ils se sont repris avec aplomb pour cet album.  Un album festif dont seul le groupe finlandais est capable.  Des mélodies très accrocheuse et une ambiance festive font de cet album un parfait rayon de soleil pour célébrer le printemps.  Les pièces Päät Pois Tai Hirteen, Tequila, Korvesta Liha et Surma sont les points fort de l'album.  On ne s'ennuie aucunement durant le reste de l'album, c'est un feu roulant de mélodies festives.  On en redemande.  Ma cote, un solide 8.5/10.

Critique de la semaine : Surtur Rising de Amon Amarth

Les vikings d'Amon Amarth nous reviennent avec leur 8e album, Surtur Rising.  Après l'excellent Twilight Of The Thunder God, les attentes étaient pas mal élevées.  Ils nous livrent ici un bon album tout en puissance.  On se trouve en terrain connu dès les premières notes de l'album.  Cet album contient certe d'excellente pièces comme Destroyer Of The Universe, Slaves Of Fear, For Victory Or Death et Wrath Of The Norsemen.  Mais il y a aussi quelques faiblesses comme Töck's Taunt qui a des haut et des bas, ainsi Doom Over Dead Man avec son rythme très lent qui m'a moins plus.  Mais en général, c'est du solide, comme on s'attend de nos valeureux vikings.  La production est encore une fois excellente comme c'est généralement le cas avec ce groupe.  Ça m'a pris plusieurs écoutes pour apprécier pleinement les subtilités de cet album qui saura sans aucun doute satisfaire les amateurs du groupe.  Ma cote : 8.5/10.

Relâche prise 1
